Position Available: Skilled CNC Router Operator / Wood Machinist / General woodworker

About Us: The Natural Wood Company UK Ltd, are a world premier manufacturer of made to order hardwood products, we take pride in creating many high-quality, unique wooden products which we sell online to the general public and wholesale other businesses.
Location: High Halden, Ashford, Kent. On-site parking is available.
Position Details: The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and enthusiastic about CNC and all things woodworking. They will be passionate about problem-solving with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CNC machinist role or similar. The candidate will be a creative thinker with great organisational and time management skills.
Key duties include:
- Responsible for operating our 3-Axis CNC router in our open workshop, using Vectric Aspire and V-Carve and other drawing software packages to programme the CNC machine.
- This is a hands-on role so being able to prepare materials and manage the jobs in hand is important
- Being able to follow instruction and also work independently whilst maintaining high standards of production and great attention to detail, ensuring each component is executed to a high quality.
- Being able to communicate with the rest of the team to manage workflow and project updates
- Computer literacy.
- Posses a positive work ethic
Experience with the following machinery would also be advantageous.
- Bandsaw
- Mitre saw
- Crosscut Table saw
- Overhand planer
- Thicknesser
- Router table
- Wood Lathe
- and various hand tools
Other Details: We will offer a competitive salary, which is negotiable based on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide a pension scheme, and opportunities for career advancement.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, part-time to start, leading to a full-time position.
- Pay: £12.00 - £15.00 per hour
- 21 days annual leave
